The High Country Grizzlies (2-2) fought hard against the number one ranked team in the NAL, the Jacksonville Sharks (4-0).

The Grizzlies had a 212 total rushing yard game over the course of 60 total offensive plays. The team also was able to get to Sharks quarterback Tommy Grady once to help to trip up the Jacksonville offense.

Individually, the Grizzlies did have a few key players that showed out during the game. Wide receiver Malachi Jones had a total of 87 receiving yards, resulting in one of the touchdowns for the High Country. Mackenzie Williams racked up some numbers, totaling out 31 yards and Daron Clark was not far behind him with a total of 30 yards for the Grizzlies. Another key player for the High Country was Undra Hendrix with 64 rushing yards and four receiving yards.

Unfortunately, the game did not end up going in favor of the Grizzlies with the final score being 68-21, but the team will face Jacksonville again June 10 in Jacksonville, and they will be ready! The team is ready to come back after their break stronger than ever and want to thank the fans for their continued support.

The Grizzlies will be back in the den again on May 7 against the Georgia Firebirds (1-3). Kick off is set for 3:30 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. for spectators. We hope to see everyone there sporting their Grizzlies gear and ready to go!
