Background: Shauna Godwin is the choreographer and director for the High Country Honeys. As the daughter of a professional dancer, she became involved in dance since (probably before) she could walk. She has performed professionally in dance and theatre both regionally and in New York, where she lived, trained, and worked before relocating back to Boone. Ms. Godwin has choreographed in many different capacities including musicals, outdoor theatre, theme parks, competitive dance, and sports dance teams. She currently teaches and choreographs at regional workshops and in private dance studios. In addition to teaching and choreographing, she is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Shauna is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (Theatre Performance) and Appalachian State University (Theatre Performance and Dance Studies).

Background: I started my dance career at Studio K Dance when I was three years old; I still dance there to this day. When I got to high school I joined the Watauga High School Pacer Dance Team. IN those four years I learned a variety of style including pom, hip-hop and kick. My junior and senior year I was honored to be a captain. My senior year if high school I was cast as a dancer in Tweetsie Railroad’s Diamond Lil’s Cancan Revue. This summer will be my sixth season in the entertainment cast.

Background: I started dancing at the age of 2. My mom was a dance teacher, so it was something that ran in my family. I was trained in many styles of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and clogging. I was a member of the Junior Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for 7 years. I also participated in competitive cheerleading in middle school, and cheered for my school in high school.
