BOONE — High Country Grizzlies coach Josh Resignalo was hopeful some veterans would return to the team from last year.

Two Grizzlies will return to the Grizzlies in 2018. Defensive tackle Brandon Sutton and receiver Alex Coleman both will return to the Grizzlies.

Sutton, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 335 pounds, played in nine of the Grizzlies’ 10 games last season. He was named second-team all-National Arena League defensive lineman after collecting 24.5 tackles and eight sacks.

Sutton, who attended Catawba College, has been playing indoor football for the past seven years.

Coleman

Alex Coleman

Coleman played six games for the Grizzlies last year after playing for Corpus Christi. He was third in the NAL by averaging 14.0 yards per catch. He caught 21 passes for 293 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Coleman was also eighth in the NAL in kick return average at 18.2 yards per chance.
