Boone, NC- Grizzlies sign second quarterback Jonathan Bane for the 2018 season.

Jonathan Bane, the 26-year- old quarterback, comes from Temple, Texas with an impressive
professional career. Bane attended Dakota Wesleyan University where he played football from
2010-2013 and set a school recorded for passing yards in a game, longest pass in a game for 99
yards and most passing yards in a season with 2,817. During his time at Dakota Wesleyan
University, he also earned Honorable Mention All-GPAC accolades in 2012 and 2013.

Bane started his professional career as a quarterback in 2014 with the Richmond Raiders of the
Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL), and he played for the organization from 2014 to
2015. During his time with the Richmond Raiders, he was named PIFL Offensive Player of the
Year. In 2015, Bane signed with the Bloomington Edge of the Champions Indoor Football league
(CIF), and he was later selected to the 2016 Major League Football Draft. During his professional
career, Bane also played for the Tampa Bay Storm of the American Football League (AFL) and
the Colorado Crush of the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2016. Bane then signed with the
Bismarck Bucks of the CIF in 2017 where he played seven games and was later placed on
injured reserve.

Bane is more than excited to begin his journey with the Grizzlies, and he looks forward to being
able to hit the field in 2018.
