Boone, NC- Defensive back Thyrell Lewis signs with the Grizzlies for the 2018 season.

Lewis, who recently played in the Champions Indoor Football league with the Duke City
Gladiators, is ready to hit the ground running this 2018 season. The 30-year- old attended
Weber State University where he finished his senior year as All-Big Sky Cornerback with 36
tackles, 1.5 for a loss, 2 interceptions, 8 pass break ups, and 10 pass deflections.

Lewis started his professional career in 2010 when he attended the Seattle Seahawks training
camp. In 2011, Lewis signed with the Fairbanks Grizzlies of the Indoor Football League (IFL), and
in 2012 signed with the Cleveland Gladiators in the Arena Football League (AFL). In 2013, Lewis
signed with the New Orleans Voodoo members of the Arena Football League (AFL) and later
signed with the LA Kiss of the same league. In 2015 and 2016, Lewis took a break from arena
football to be with his family and later returned to the Duke City Gladiators in 2017.
